World survey is part of the effort by Polities and Allegiances to record, update, and publish information about worlds within Charted Space.

This audit not only gathers technical data but also aims to understand how planetary societies, their resources, challenges, and opportunities have evolved since previous surveys.

For megacorporations, nobles, explorers, and imperial agents, this data is essential: it defines where to invest, which routes to secure, what alliances to negotiate… and which conflicts to avoid or enact.

Universal World Profile

The UWP (Universal World Profile) is a compact system for describing worlds in the Traveller universe and derivatives like The Corporate Wars.

It uses an alphanumeric string —like A867A9B— where each digit or letter summarizes a key characteristic of the world.

Code	Description
Starport	The infrastructure and services available at a world's starport, ranging from advanced facilities to basic landing zones.
Size	Defines the body's diameter, affecting its gravity and ability to retain an atmosphere.
Atmosphere	Determines the air composition and whether it is breathable for humans without assistance. It can range from nonexistent to toxic or ideal for life.
Hydrographics	Indicates the amount of surface water, from arid desert worlds to oceanic planets.
Population	Represents the number of inhabitants on a world, from isolated outposts to planet-spanning megacities.
Government	Describes the polítical and administrative structure governing the world, from anarchy to centralized democracies or dictatorships.
Law Level	Defines the world's regulations on trade, weaponry, and general activity, ranging from total anarchy to complete authoritarian control.
Technology Level	Represents the world's technological development, from primitive societies to highly advanced civilizations with interstellar capabilities.
